LMO Approved !!!!!!!

Recieved an Email from Eugenie yesterday confirming that Lee's LMO has officially been approved!!! Should find out our flight dates etc soon.

Still trying to decide what to do with Zeb (our dog) think re-homing is going to be the kindest option for him in the long run but still so undecided.

Can't you just get the dog put down, and buy a new one?

Just get someone to look after the dog while you are in Canada for a short time, it is H&R that your fellah will be working for lol

I've come to realise that the people who make comments of this nature are not brave enough to put their names to them. Yes Lee is going to H&R but this will most certainly be a long term visit as we like to WORK for a living and do not expect the world to be handed to us on a plate.

Hope you also like to sit not getting paid for a while.

Unfortunately, I also liked to WORK for a living, but I also wanted to be paid for it, so when Lee reports for duty at 8am after a reset and sits unpaid in the truck 'till 7pm, then has to DRIVE 13 hours solid over the rockies at night let's hear him agree with every other Brit, and just say... " It's the Canadian Way, eh!"
I have relatives in Canada, and they would not work for H&R unless they were paid detention and layover.
If you are happy to 'suck it up' (Dave Foders words) and do as you are told, then good luck, it's a great place to be, and the driving is great (if you get given the miles).
BTW: The dog transport can be very expensive.

Mick I am aware from reading your blog that you did not have a good exprience during your time in Canada and I welcome your advice...
I am not disregarding your comments but this is a lifelong dream for us and we want to experience the "Canadian Way" for ourselves ...
I cannot help but feel that you view everyone who goes to work for this company as "the enemy"... we're not. We just want to have a new life over there just like you did when you went over

for christ sake, go look at other peoples blogs Mick if you dont like the fact people are going to H&R.... its all getting VERY BORING now with the H&R haters.... get on with your life & job & let others do the same, and stop taking offence to people not taking you advice... we dont care about your comments anymore....

So your shit attitude and crap work ethics had nothing to do with you short stay in Canada Eh Mick

Mick Flynn Images said...

Is it any wonder that people post anonymously on some peoples blogs.

Chris: You don't know what my work ethics are, but I never had any problems getting and keeping jobs in the UK (10 years at the job I left to move over to Canada), and I certainly don't have a shit attitude to life in general, and certainly not to people I don't know.
I have worked since I left school, never been fired and always done well, all without having to arse lick to bosses, maybe you will do well over there, but I don't know you, so I won't give a personal opinion about you.
Good luck, and please tell us how you are doing in six months time.

Sal_lee: No I don't regard ANYONE as the enemy, what have I got to gain by thinking that?
In fact what exactly have I to gain by relating my experiences?
Nothing.

I sincerely hope you all do well over there, but that doesn't mean you should ignore other peoples opinions because you don't like them, or they don't fit.

BTW: I have never 'advised' anyone not to go to H&R, because some people obviously do better than others, but it's a big mistake to assume that it's the drivers who are at fault in all cases.

Mick, I already said that I wasn't disregarding your comments and that your advice was welcomed at no point did I say that I would ignore anyone's opinions but I do believe in making my own judgements... after all one mans pleasure is another's poison..

Sorry Sal_Lee, I did read what you said, my last comments were really aimed at Chris/Tina.

The only reason I commented here is because I couldn't see your e-mail anywhere to mail you.
You are of course quite right about 'one mans pleasure'.

Tina: Your childish and offensive attitude may be your un-doing in Canada, and I wouldn't have even posted here again if you two hadn't been so rude as to use Sal_Lees comment section to slag me off.

Mike sorry if I affended you and sorry it did not work at H&R and life took you in a different direction then you had hoped.. my family & I are willing to give it a go in canada.. you may be justified in warning people and only time will tell.. but i think you & some of the others guys should now just let people get on with their dicisons and their blogs without having negitive comments all the time. Alot of the blogs are set-up for families to read.. it also gives the drivers something to do on the road... our blog will not be used to slag anyone off and never will be.... I have read your blog from start to finish & have found it very informative and interesting.. thank you... we hope others find ours to be... all we ask if you dont like what you read not to bother reading anymore..... and i am sure some of the other bloggers feel the same... we only defend ourselves or others for our reason when you or some of the other H&R haters comment.. when i said it was boring now... i said that as it is the truth.. we are adults & of our own minds.. please respect that.. this is the last time i will reply to any comment made in a negitive way.. that is my choice & not pressure from anyone either... kind regards.
