let the viewings begin

I was laid watching T.V. this afternoon in my slobs, suffering slightly after all the festive cheer when the estate agents called to see if I would be willing to do a viewing tomorrow!!

Of course I said YES tomorrow morning would be fine....

After I put the phone down it dawned on me that Lee hadn't finished painting the kitchen / dining room before he left for work..

What a hangover cure eh?

About 20 Min's later the estate agent called back to say that she had a second viewer for tomorrow if I was available..... in for a penny eh?

So I have two viewings booked in, not bad to say its only been up for a week and that's been over Christmas too.

Merry Christmas

The for sale sign went up outside the house yesterday - woo hoo

I'm glad that our last Christmas in the UK will be a white one. Can't believe that this time next year we will be living our dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm working tomorrow (Christmas Day) cant believe people want to complain about their phone bills on Christmas day - that's certainly something I wont miss next year!!

Lee is working away all through Christmas and missing him loads already, off to my mum's for lunch once Ive finished work.

what a fab birthday, the house is up for sale!!

Man came to do th HIP pack this morning, and wonderful ladies from the estate agents have photographed my house and put a fab brochure together.... everything is moving now!!

House has been valued....

We have had the house valued and was pleasantly surprised to see that even in the recession the value hadn't dropped as much as we thought - woo hoo!!!

We have decided to use a local agent who seems to be on a roll selling similar types of properties in our area.

They will be out to do the photographs tomorrow so better leave you all for now and get the hoover out!!

Physio today

We are off on our last bit of sunshine holiday before our trip to Canada. Flying to the Dominican Tomorrow!! woo hoo !!
A week in the beautiful resort of Punta Cana, pure bliss..... at least when we move to Canada these beautiful places wont be such a long flight.

First I have a physio session after my recent car accident, I'm hoping they'll be gentle with me and not leave me too sore for tomorrows 9 hour flight.

On our return we will be putting our house up for sale ready to move to Canada.... Can't wait.

Documents Complete........

Had our common law declaration notarised on Saturday, that's all our documents completed and sent of to VRV.

I am officially Lee's comman law partner.... I think I would rather be a wife but after 11 years there doesn't seem to be a rush!!! lol

I think once we have made the move we will get married over in Canada, we both fell in love with the mountains so maybe we could have a destination wedding in the Rockies!!

Good News

My God what a week!!!!

On Bonfire night driving home from work was the unfortunate victim in a car accident, had a lucky escape could have been much worse than the whiplash that I'm suffering with now......

Had a nightmare couple of days trying to sort stuff out with the insurance companies

Soooooooo ......... was really pleased to open an e-mail from Canada tonight giving us a provisionary date of June 2010!!

How exciting, feel like things are moving at last.

Documents on their way

Have sent off for CRB checks this week, should be back in 14 days, did it all online much easier then just faxed through proof of ID....

Just waiting for appointment with solicitor to get our commonlaw declaration witnessed then we are all set.

Once we send these off we should get our date to travel!!!!!!

The Story So Far.............

Well I am new to all this blogging so please forgive any newbie errors!!

This is to be my story of moving from South Yorkshire out to Lethbridge in Canada, my OH will be driving for H&R Transport.

So the story so far.........

We first looked at this in February 06 and was interviewed by Steve Whitaker.... loved everything we heard and even paid a recce visit to Lethbridge.... unfortunately the time was not right for us and we have regretted it ever since.

We heard that H&R Transport were interviewing recently in Newcastle and managed to be squeezed in by Lyndon.

Received our job offer 2 weeks later and the ball is in motion. And so the story begins
